За останні 20-25 років суднові двигуни внутрішнього згоряння зазнали значних змін. Ці зміни відображені в цьому підручнику. При цьому питання щодо конструкції та особливостей роботи знятих з виробництва двигунів виключені з розгляду або зведені до мінімуму.
