The book is devoted to the identification and analysis of the semantics of the image of horses on icons. The classification of images is offered. An attempt is made to single out iconography as a source of cultural and mental features of the ecumenism on the example of connotative connections of the sign of the image of a horse. "Horse in itself" has gone from wildness, domestication, use in the economy, a marker of wealth, a "decorative creature" to a "marketing move".
Designed for a wide audience and researchers in the humanities who are interested in the specifics of connotational processes in iconography and the semantics of objects.
